Hello! My name is Sir Treethump (he/him), and I fight out of the Realm of Numenor (Champaign, IL). I’ve been fighting for ~35 years across Belegarth, Dagorhir, Amtgard and SCA, and it’s one of my primary hobbies for most of my life. I am a Knight of Numenor (knighted in 1993), and have had the opportunity to meet hundreds knights, squires and talented fighters across the sport. Though I’ve spent most of my time fighting at Realm practices, I’ve tried to keep active in events, such as Battle for the Ring, Armageddon, Keep on the Borderlands & Oktoberfest.
My favorite style of fighting is single blue, followed by sword and board, and I’ve spent many years teaching a style of fighting that involves a heavy amount of feints and fakes. I love to teach, and you can usually find me at events on the sidelines, sparring and working with anyone interested to try and better themselves. I’m looking forward to meeting many of you for the first time and encourage you to approach me at any event to talk, spar and enjoy this hobby together.
